As per the KVS notification, the summer vacation will begin on 8th May 2023 and conclude on 16th June 2023, stretching out for 40 days. Mark your calendars as the summer vacation will kick off on May 8, 2023 (Monday) and wrap up on June 16, 2023 (Friday), providing a generous 40-day window. Plus, get excited for the autumn break scheduled from October 20, 2023 (Friday) to October 29, 2023 (Sunday) – a total of 10 days! The KVS Winter Holidays for 2023-24 are scheduled to be celebrated in ten regional offices, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Mumbai, Raipur, Bhubaneshwar, Bhopal, and Ernakulam. The holiday season comprises three categories: Summer Vacation, which begins on May 2, 2023 (Tuesday) and ends on June 20, 2023 (Tuesday), lasting for 50 days; Autumn Break, which is scheduled from October 20, 2023 (Friday) to October 29, 2023 (Sunday), lasting for ten days; and the Winter Break, which is planned from December 25, 2023 (Monday) to January 3, 2024 (Wednesday), also for a total of ten days.

Winter locations (except Kendriya Vidyalayas of winter locations falling under the Dehradun Division):

The Kendriya Vidyalayas situated in chilly places falling under the Dehradun Division have announced their holiday calendar for the academic year 2023-24. The Autumn Break will last for ten days, starting from October 20, 2023 (Friday) to October 29, 2023 (Sunday). The Summer Vacation, on the other hand, will last for twenty days and begin on May 15, 2023 (Monday) and continue until June 3, 2023 (Saturday). The Winter Break will be much longer than the other two vacations, spanning a whopping forty days between December 14, 2023 (Thursday) and January 22, 2024 (Monday). Meanwhile, Kendriya Vidyalayas located in Leh, Kargil, and Nubra (Ladakh) UTs will have a Winter Vacation from December 4, 2023 (Monday) to February 11, 2024 (Sunday), which totals up to seventy days of fun and relaxation.
